About MizFrog
For those who are curious,
I'll tell you a little about myself. I'm a southern lady, born in
Arkansas, raised mostly in Jackson, Tennessee, and Memphis is currently my home. I
have also lived in California and New York, many moons ago.
Family info—I have
four children (three sons and one daughter), six grandchildren (two
granddaughters and four grandsons, one deceased), two step-granddaughters, and
six
great-grandchildren. I have two brothers and two half sisters (one
deceased). My mother
died at age 86 on March 29, 2005. My father was killed in a car accident
when I was 15.
Job info—I
retired from Federal Express after 19 years of employment as a secretary
and administrative assistant. I was a Certified Professional Secretary and
have an associate's degree in Office Systems Technology. Previous to that,
I worked for a temporary agency with assignments in publishing and
secretarial work. I also was a real estate agent for about a year.
How I spend my
spare time—In addition to collecting frog items and having fun with this Web site, I
also design and print CD labels and jewel case inserts for Southern Music Studio. I like to play computer Scrabble and other
word games.
Frog collecting—Lee and I didn't make a decision to become frog collectors—it
just happened. Lee liked frogs, so I bought him one every now and then. As
family and friends saw frogs around the house, we both started receiving frogs for
gifts. Then we started buying frogs to add to the collection. It isn't a
large collection in comparison to some other people's, but it's a
fun hobby and we enjoy it.
